La Serena.
Outdoor art exhibition i had a peruse around on my way to La Playa (the beach) and the lighthouse.
Colour was a big feature in the works on display, but it's not difficult to see where they get their inspiration from. I'm totally in love with all the shades of the rainbow the houses are painted inside and out.
The exhibition featured children's work alongside the adults. It was a nice mix.
Pick of the Hostels was 'Hostel Maria Casa' with Andreas and his partner Lesley. He didn't seem to mind that i got off the bus at 1.30am and no accommodation booked.....it's hard to mime on the telephone. but, por favor, tiene un habitation para tres noches?
Morning sunshine,
ReplyDeleteit's great to see some of your photos so we can follow you around. I'm curious to know the story behind you arriving at the hostel at 1:30am. How's your Spanish going, can you understand the locals and be understood?
Nobody seems to be asking questions...maybe there's a separate page for questions, or perhaps a blog is a comment only kind of thing...
Saturday morning here, it's a dull day, I'm working so I need to mobilise myself soon or I'll be late. I joined the Cashmere club yesterday so I can use their squash courts. They have two of those old fashioned, dungeon type courts. Brilliant. I took Henry for a game, his first, and he loved it. It's super echoey and he was impressed with how his burping sounded, boys eh.
While we're on questions and newsy letters, I would like to request a photo, of yourself, maybe with a cute local lad or two? A novel chat up line maybe? Hopefully nobody nicks off with your camera. Happy travels.
Much love and hugs, Red and Henry xoxoxo
